Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) twice every year for aspirants who want to secure a teaching job in the government section.
The Candidate who is interested and wants to become a teacher for primary and upper primary classes has to qualify CTET Exam. CTET is the central teacher eligibility test, based on which the candidates can apply for various vacancies in various government and government-aided schools.

How Many CTET is Conducted in a Year
CTET exam is conducted by CBSE twice a year in the month of June and December every year.
CTET Qualification for Paper I to V & VI to VIII 2022
CTET (Class I to V) Primary Level Qualification Details:
The candidate who has passed their Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration)
OR
The candidate who has passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam securing a minimum of 45% marks and has cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002.
OR
The candidate who has passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with the minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration).
OR
The candidate who has passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year of Diploma in Education (2 years duration).
OR
A candidate who has a Bachelor’s degree and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).
CTET (Class VI to VIII) Qualification Details:
The candidate who holds a Graduation degree and has passed or is appearing in the final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).
OR
Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
A candidate who has passed their Graduation degree with 40% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations.
OR
The candidate who has passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with the minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education
OR
The candidate who has passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.

What is the validity of CTET?
The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued with a mark sheet. The Candidates securing 60% (General) and above marks will be issued an Eligibility Certificate for which the validity has been extended from 7 years to a lifetime period.
CTET Last Year cut off
There is no cut-off for the CTET exam. Any Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be declared to pass in CTET exam.
